Tabletop battle wargame rules for use with stands of figures, with a stand representing a unit. Includes an example wargames battle narrative!

A lightweight set of skirmish rules for individually based figures featuring a highly variable sequence of play, simple mechanisms and several scenarios to try out.

 

Not at all complex, they are aimed for games of between 10 and 100 figures in the Horse & Musket era, although they could with a little bit of work be adapted to other periods.

 

In other words a set of fun, cheap and cheerful wargame rules which won’t overtax your brain too much and doesn’t need many figures to have a game with!

Age of Sail naval wargame rules usable with either model ships or counters to represent them. Bookkeeping is kept to a minimum and this is very much a landlubber’s set of rules - you don’t need to be a sailing expert to enjoy games using this set! Despite this unusual craft such as galleys and galleasses as well as xebecs and fireships are covered, and the rules include game design notes, a scenario, rules for boarding and grappling, tacking and boxhauling, &c. Differences in ship and naval development over the period are also covered!
